| The growing and harvesting of barley for brewing is part of Irelands agricultural heritage. In the past, whole communities would come together for this important agricultural calendar event. Then as it is now the harvesting methods would leave distinctive marks amidst the mosaic of ancient fields that make up the Irish landscape. Following the harvest, long straight and diagonal lines of golden hue left behind by harvesters add to the textures and patterns of late-summer in rural Ireland. The Harvester Pattern, by Cashs Crystal, with its striking modern diagonal cuts, is inspired by these markings as Ireland moves from the past to the present. | |||
